riliorilio.

Setup guide

Log every payment automatically

rilio can save each Apple Pay payment and bank SMS on its own, with no typing. Apple's Shortcuts app hands each one to rilio in the background. Setup takes about three minutes.

Before you start: install rilio on your iPhone, sign in, and allow notifications. In the app, Settings → Auto-capture → Set up checks each step as you go.

Set it up

On iOS 27, a shortcut comes with its own trigger, so you add each one from a link and change at most one word.

1

Add the Apple Pay shortcut

“Rilio Apple Pay” link coming soon
  1. Tap the button above on your iPhone, then Add Shortcut.
  2. That's it. It runs when Any Card is tapped, so every card in your Wallet is covered, including cards you add later.
2

Test the connection

  1. Open Rilio Apple Pay in the Shortcuts app and tap ▶.
  2. If iOS asks whether rilio can run, choose Always Allow.
  3. You should see Rilio is connected ✓.
3

Add bank SMS (recommended)

Catches online Apple Pay, UPI, debit cards and money you receive. rilio matches each SMS to its tap, so a payment is never counted twice.

5 keywords: add one SMS shortcut for each keyword your banks use. More keywords catch more banks.

Currency not listed? Use its three-letter code as printed in your bank's messages.

One link for every keyword. It adds one copy that watches for Rs. For each other keyword, duplicate that copy and change the word.
“Rilio Bank SMS” link coming soon
  1. Tap the button above, then Add Shortcut.
  2. It watches for Rs. If your first keyword is different, open Rilio Bank SMS, tap Rs after Message contains and type your keyword.
  3. For each other keyword: long-press Rilio Bank SMS → Duplicate, open the copy and change the word after Message contains.
4

Turn off the extra banner

If Shortcuts shows its own banner every time a shortcut runs, open the shortcut, tap ⓘ and turn off Notify When Run. rilio's own notification stays.

Check it works

Open rilio

Your privacy

rilio checks each message on your iPhone and only sends real bank alerts: an amount plus an account or card reference. Personal messages and one-time passwords never leave your phone, and message text is never stored. Short keywords like Rs also match ordinary chats; those are dropped on the phone too.

Troubleshooting

Nothing arrives after a payment

Check it can run while your phone is locked: on iOS 27, open the shortcut → ⓘ and turn on Allow Running When Locked if you see it; on earlier iOS, the automation should be set to Run Immediately. Also turn on Settings → Shortcuts → Advanced → Allow Sharing Large Amounts of Data.

I get two alerts for one payment

The extra banner comes from Shortcuts, not rilio. Open each rilio shortcut or automation and turn off Notify When Run. rilio's own notification stays.

Can one SMS shortcut cover every keyword?

No. iOS lets each one watch for a single word, and several words in one box only match that exact phrase. Set up one per keyword; on iOS 27, duplicate the shortcut and change the word.

One bank's SMS isn't captured

That bank probably writes amounts differently (for example Rs, INR or ₹). Add another SMS shortcut or automation with the keyword it uses.

A new card isn't captured

On iOS 27, Rilio Apple Pay runs when Any Card is tapped, so new cards are covered unless you limited it to specific cards. Before iOS 27, open your Wallet automation and add the new card.

Online Apple Pay isn't captured

The Wallet trigger only runs for in-store taps. Set up bank SMS: it catches online Apple Pay, UPI and anything Wallet misses.

It stopped after an iOS update

Restart your iPhone. If payments still don't show up, delete the Apple Pay shortcut or automation and set it up again.
